³³ When they heard this, they became enraged, and they wanted to put them to death. ³⁴ However, one member of the Sanhedrin, a Pharisee named Gamaliel who was a teacher of the law and respected by all the people, stood up and ordered that the apostles be sent outside for a little while.

³⁵ Then he addressed them, “Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men.
